NPC at towns can only do up to tree enchants to a item. Current consensus is that enchanting scales with the item level. Problem as you all might know is that finding an enchanter is really hard, but finding the right one is even harder. Enchanting items are done by paying some gold to a special NPC which can be found in towns and in the wilderness. I don’t know if this was posted somewhere else, think hasn’t been yet though.Ī few hours ago my party buddy was desperately in need of finding a socket enchanter in order to get some extra sockets for %DR and to not screw it so easily at the end of act III HCE. Each item can have up to 6 sockets and both in-town and wandering enchanters can add an additional sockets to an item as long as the total doesnt exceed 6.
